I just learned that the wonderful visual futurist designer behind Blade Runner, Short Circuit & Tron (to name a few), passed away yesterday ☹️ His design work has always been some of my favorite.
To be honest, I wasn't aware that he designed Johnny 5 from Short Circuit until re-watching it, after many years, yesterday with my kids. Syd passed away within mere hours of our viewing...
Blade Runner & Short Circuit have both made a big impression on me, so I figured the least I could do was a make a short post and memorial graphic in his memory (above). Feel free to use it.
